Wet Leg are back with another off-kilter gem from their upcoming album Moisturizer, and this one’s called “Davina McCall” — yes, like the British Big Brother host. The track is a sweet, slightly dazed ballad about love, longing, and possibly reality TV trauma.
It comes with a claymation video from Chris Hopewell, starring the band, a suspiciously emotional bird, and a DIY pair of Icarus wings that really shouldn’t be FAA-approved.
Out July 11 on Domino, Moisturizer also features “Catch These Fists” and “CPR.” The album was written during a group living situation in Southwold, a seaside town in Norfolk that sounds peaceful but probably hides at least one cursed lighthouse. Production duties went to Dan Carey, who presumably brought snacks.
