On Wednesday, J-Hope treated listeners to a 30-second preview of his upcoming single, “Sweet Dreams.” The clip shows him rising from bed as morning light floods the room, then wraps up with Miguel’s instantly recognizable falsetto on a drawn-out “Yeah.” The track is slated for release on March 7 at midnight.
This teaser follows another short preview shared on Tuesday. In that version, a mysterious commotion causes a house to float among the clouds, casting shadows over a group of neighbors—friends, an elderly couple, and others. The dreamy sky motif also appears in the cover art, which features J-Hope cruising through the air in a convertible. Featuring Miguel, the single is described as a “soulful blend of pop and R&B” and marks J-Hope’s most recent release since his “special album,” Hope on the Street Vol. 1, which dropped in March 2024 alongside a companion docuseries. At that time, he and several other BTS members were fulfilling their mandatory military service in South Korea, and he ultimately completed his 18-month term in October 2024—becoming the second BTS member to finish after Jin.
Hope on the Street included collaborations with fellow BTS vocalist Jungkook, producer Benny Blanco, music icon Nile Rodgers, and Huh Yun-Jin from K-pop group Le Sserafim. Last month, J-Hope launched his first solo tour, Hope on the Stage, in Seoul. Over its run, he will perform for two nights in 15 cities, including Brooklyn, Chicago, San Antonio, Oakland, and Los Angeles, before the final shows in Osaka on May 31 and June 1.
